Final Photostory

My final story. I added backgrounds to most all the pictures. Also added Text to every picture. I also moved the main object in the picture around. Also at the end of the slide show I gave the websites I got the backgrounds from. Hope you like.
Here's what I did to each of the pictures.
1st picture the only thing I did was added text
2nd picture I found a background of a bathroom because most females like to pose in the bathroom by the tolite. then I moved her to the left side of the page and also add text.
3rd picture is of Alexis drunk, I changed the background to rainbow, and also moved her a little to the left and added text
4th picture added a background and text
5th picture added text, change background to blue and moved her all the way over to the left
6th picture The only thing I decided to change was adding text other than that I left it along because I thought it was a power picture as it is was.
7th picture added text, changed background and cut out the camera because I couldn't crop it very well.
8th picture added text and a background and now realize the big star in the corner is a little much.
9th picture all I did was add text
10th picture is added text and used the pattern stamp tool to draw the lines.
11th picture the only thing I did was add text
12th picture is where I got all my backgrounds from

  1. I really like the direction you took this in, Rose! Your story builds up with the initial photos and I would say the climax is at the end in reference to natural beauty.

One of the things I noticed is how you play on the rule of thirds with your manipulated images. You have the ability to put your cutouts wherever you want and its evident that you spent some time thinking about placement - it wasn't arbitrary.

I like the way the story flows and I think you have great lighting and composition. Great job! It was nice working with you this semester!

  2. There were a few typos, which distracted somewhat from the overall presentation, but you have a consistent message and story here. You made some great choices in the backgrounds you chose to layer into the images. The busier backgrounds behind the drunk girl and the technology hoarder work very well with the messages contained in each picture. You did a particularly nice job layering the money, techy hoarder, and jewelry images. The lines around your model are clean.

It is clear that you put a lot of thought into where your model was placed in each image. You left her with space to look into in each portrait. You also combined some great moments of model/background interaction. The jewelry image has a bright star in the upper left that could be distracting, but it has a diagonal trail of smaller stars that lead the eye right to your daughter's jewelry, which is the focus of this image. I was particularly struck by the pills image, which is nearly unaltered. The simple statement and background, combined with the look of trepidation on your daughter's face, epitomize what you are trying to say in this slideshow with regard to the pressures that girls face.
